Ahad Raza Mir – as Dr. Asfi in Yaqeen Ka Safar
Ahad Raza Mir’s role as Dr. Asfandyaar became the breakout role of his career. He had starred in a brief role in drama serial Sammi opposite Mawra Hocane as the young and chirpy Salaar, but Yaqeen Ka Safar gave him a lot more opportunity to showcase his talent.
His storyline was divided into two portions – one where he is a cheerful, bright, optimistic ‘Asfi’ but as tragedy strikes his family, he becomes a quiet, brooding sort of a fellow and begins to be known as Dr. Asfandyaar.

He portrayed both these roles beautifully and has proven to the world that he’s the next big star to look forward to.
Adnan Siddiqui – as Rashid Chann in Sammi
Veteran actor Adnan Siddiqui chose a difficult role in Sammi as the gruff Rashid who dumps Sammi (Mawra Hocane) to the city. He reminds one of the old lumberjack in Sleeping Beauty who has to kill the princess on the orders of the evil queen but in fact leaves her in the forest so she can still stay alive.

There is a certain kindness and softness to Adnan’s character and previous role history so his conflict as a kind man and a good husband to his wife despite being an evil thug was very believable.
Mikaal Zulfiqaar – as Shahzeb in Alif Allah Aur Insaan
In this hit television series on Hum TV, Mikaal played many shades of a tortured hero. He began from a lovestruck young man to a worried husband and had shades of anger and confusion as his storyline progressed. His character required a lot of shades and variations which Mikaal Zulfiqaar fulfilled very well.

Noman Ejaz – as Khayaam Sani in O Rangreza
In O Rangreza, Noman Ejaz’s role was of a selfish father, an arrogant husband and a doting paramour. He was a poet who you had to feel for, you had to be convinced of his reasons to fall in love with Sonia Jehan while also understanding how he was the emblem of male hypocrisy in the play.

He also goes through major heartbreak and changes and Noman Ejaz, being the fantastic actor that he is, proved that he is truly the master of his craft as he did this complex role with perfection.
Feroz Khan – as Aarish in Woh Aik Pal
Feroz Khan’s role in Woh Aik Pal was a difficult one – especially since his character’s story begins from a high arc from the very beginning. Aarish is a spoilt, selfish man but he learns to be so much more as his life turns upside down the night he and his friends go out and it ends in murder.

Feroz did a great job in making a very unlikeable character very likeable and palatable.
Zahid Ahmed – as Shuja in Daldal
Daldal was an intense, difficult watch mainly due to the trials and tribulations of Shuja (Zahid Ahmed)’s life story. Shuja opts for illegal immigration instead of working hard in his job and taking care of his wife and child in his limited resources. He escapes to London where he has to go through a lot of problems and difficulties and we see how his pride comes to fall.
#DaldalStarting from 17th August, Thursday at 8:00 PM on #HUMTV
