Film music in Pakistan seems to have gone through a revival, with new music composers making their mark with every new film.
With Parwaaz Hai Junoon, comes Azaan Sami Khan’s debut as a film music director and the young lad doesn’t disappoint at all. The son of Adnan Sami Khan and Zeba Bakhtiar always had music in his veins but with Thaam Lo, he has proved that he is more than just a lookalike of his accomplished father.
Thaam Lo has been sung by none other than Atif Aslam and according to Azaan, it was the first song he composed for the film. Atif Aslam’s vocals are perfect as he gets to do what he does best – sing both the high notes and the low notes to perfection. In this filmi number, you have Atif Aslam and chorus performing wonders and the visuals add colour to the scenes that you see on the screen. Even the composition seems fresh and something we haven’t heard maybe since Sargam which was composed over 2 decades back by Azaan’s father.
We know Pakistan is a beautiful country but we never knew that it was so breathtakingly awesome. Be it the scenes with Shaz Khan and Kubra Khan or Hamza Ali Abbasi and Hania Aamir, everything looks picture perfect. There are mountains, there are valleys, there are bridges over lakes and the air which are captured beautifully by the cinematographers.
On the whole, this song is something you should make your loved one listen to because it raises the love bar to new heights. Shakeel Sohail pens the words that make you fall in love through his thoughtful lyrics. With Atif Aslam at the helm, Azaan Sami Khan as the composer and Air Force as the new frontier, nothing can go wrong, right?
