Hamza Ali Abbasi announces to quit showbiz!

The nation’s heartthrob Hamza Ali Abbasi has left everyone shocked with his verdict but we must say we’re not surprised!

Hamza has been in the industry for more than a decade now and from theatre, film, acting and directing, he has done it all. He is known for his roles as Afzal in the drama serial Pyarey Afzal, and as Salahuddin in the drama serial Mann Mayal.

A few days back he tweeted saying:

A journey of more than a decade comes to an end. I have a very important announcement to make at the end of this month. Will hope my voice reaches many. Will be off social media till end of Oct.

This tweet left fans and followers from all over the world worried and curious. Some had mixed feelings about this statement while some say they expected it.

Last night he posted a video explaining and clarifying all the confusion and gave proper reasoning as to why he was leaving the media industry.

Something similar happened last year when on 31st December 2018, Hamza Ali Abbai’s ‘now-wife’ Naimal Khawar Khan took to Instagram to let her followers know that she will no longer be a part of this industry, however, this journey was a short but wonderful experience.

Dear followers, you have always been a part of my journey and it’s only fair to take you along on this one. You have showered me with love and praise ever since I stepped into acting. So far, it has been a short but wonderful experience. I’m wrapping up shooting for my first and last drama serial, where I worked with some incredible people and had a great learning experience. However, I would now like to bid farewell to acting. I will not be pursuing it as a career because I feel that I cannot balance it with my art, which will always remain my first priority and passion. You will not be seeing me on the screen anymore but you will be seeing a lot more of my paintings and hopefully, exhibitions. I would like to thank all the wonderful people I met on this short endeavour. It’s been lovely. Happy new year in advance guys! May you all follow your heart and passions. Lots of love, Naimal.

While marrying Naimal, Hamza shared a post in which he specifically said “Me & Naimal are having our small Nikkah on 25th & a small Walima on 26th and then looking forward to a lifetime together in making efforts to please Allah together. Pray for us. Thankyou.”

I planned to say this after 25th but since the news is already out so here i go. Yes i am deliberately using this public…

Moving on, in the detailed video shared the last night, Hamza explains his journey towards religion (Islam) and that from now onwards he only wants to talk about God, our religion and the path of life which our religion has to offer.

He further stated that he will be talking about religion through various means of social media and that the films he will do would also revolve around the same.

After this spiritual awakening and the process of self-realization, Hamza now wants to help out others in their journey.
