Ishq Zahe Naseeb was one of my toughest projects so far: Sonya Hussyn

Hum TV’s Ishq Zahe Naseeb ends with a bang! 

Not many drama serials in recent years have left an impact on the audience’s minds like Ishq Zahe Naseeb. Hashim Nadeem’s script and Farooq Rind’s direction made the audience wait for the play every Thursday.

Not only it talks about split personality disorder, where Zahid Ahmed depicts a male character suffering from Dissociative identity disorder (DID) but it also opens a room to discuss mental issues openly.

In a recent Instagram post, Sonya Hussyn shared her power journey of the drama where she praises Hum TV for bringing up such an important issue into limelight.

This was one of my toughest projects so far. Dissociative personality disorder is something that isn't discussed far and wide. Kudos to @humtvpakistanofficial for bringing this to light. I would like to thank the entire team, my brilliant co-actors @zahid.ahmed.official , @sami_khan.official , @xarnishkhan @yumnazaidiofficial and our director @rind_farooq – brilliant job! also My production team @moomalentertainmentofficial , shajeel, aneela, seema. I wouldn't have been able to deliver it without your support. As challenging as this subject was, we wanted to address mental health issues and to showcase how to treat such patients so that they can put their insecurities to rest. Thank you everyone, all my followers, viewers, for the tremendous support throughout the project. You made this journey a beautiful one. To anyone suffering from anxiety, depression and insecurities – please open up to someone. Your mind is a creative space which should only harbour positive thoughts. “Dissociative personality disorder is something that isn’t discussed far and wide. Kudos to @humtvpakistanofficial for bringing this to light,” Sonya Hussyn said.

“As challenging as this subject was, we wanted to address mental health issues and to showcase how to treat such patients so that they can put their insecurities to rest.”

Adding on, Sonya advised everyone to open up about mental health no matter how hard it it,

“To anyone suffering from anxiety, depression and insecurities – please open up to someone. Your mind is a creative space which should only harbour positive thoughts. Seek help, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. You’re beautiful however you are.”
