Pakistan Day Special: We asked Pakistani stars what ‘Patriotism’ means to them!

The outbreak of the novel Corona Virus disease has united the entire country to combat the global battle against the pandemic.

The timing for this much-needed solidarity couldn’t be better with 23rd of March, Pakistan Day just around the corner.

While we may not be able to honor the high-spirited occasion with usual zeal, enjoy the annual Pakistan Day parade and celebrate the day with family or friends; citizens can still express their patriotism in these tough times by protecting themselves and their loved ones by practicing self-quarantine.

Likewise, our Pakistani celebrities are vigorously playing their part to aware people, boosting their morale and being refreshingly patriotic in these days of crisis.

In light of the much-special March 23, we asked some of our favorite celebrities what ‘patriotism’ means to them and what would they advise their fans over making the most of the isolation period.

Displaying on-point celebrity patriotism, Pakistani stars sent a lot of wishes and prayers for the whole state! Here’s what they had to say:

Mawra Hocane

For me, “Patriotism” is an emotion we are born with and continue to water it as we grow. As far as I am concerned I’m extremely grateful for my motherland and that I can breathe freely here.

I love my country and I hope that as an actor I can always represent Pakistan all over the world. May we see many more of the “Pakistan Day” celebrations. May our country progress every day and be safe for all its citizens. Ameen.

Yasir Hussain

March 23 is a significant day as Pakistan Resolution was passed on this date. However today, Pakistan is in severe danger of nothing but the epidemic of Corona Virus. Now is the time that Pakistanis unite and fight this.

Unfortunately, it breaks my heart witnessing what is happening these days in the markets that buyers are hoarding and businessmen are reaping profits. But I wish that the 23rd of March invokes the passion amongst the citizens that they stand together and battle against this disease.

For me, patriotism is all about my people and my country. We all must come together. I will celebrate this special day by following the orders of the Government over social distancing and helping people with daily wages, who are suffering the most in this crisis.

I’ve spent half of my life abroad but there’s no place like home. The word patriotism is often misused to project hate for other nations but I believe that patriotism is about loving your country and emitting that love across the globe.

Syed Jibran

I want to wish my entire country a happy Pakistan Day and being a patriot, I don’t want to give a sermon on how to be an ideal Pakistani. The need of the hour is that being a nation, we should unite against this disease- the deadly Corona Virus that has gripped the entire world.

23rd of March is going to be a very sensitive time as it is a day when people come together in crowds to celebrate the special occasion. Kindly make sure that you take all the necessary precautions while honoring the day. This way we can assure that the spread of this disease doesn’t cross the dangerous limit.

Pakistan is Home πŸ‡΅πŸ‡°❤ !!! Being born and bred in Pakistan makes me a proud citizen of this beautiful country 😊…I appreciate all the enthusiasm we all Pakistanis have towards the celebrations of our Independence Day but would also like to request if we all can play a vital role in making our Pak Watan even a better place to live by simply treating this country how we treat our own homes by looking after it, by ensuring we keep it clean and green always not just around 14th August particularly. We should follow all the steps being Pakistanis which will help Pakistan to prosper and progress day by day. In the end would like to say only one thing PAKISTAN ZINDABAD πŸ™ŒπŸ‡΅πŸ‡° …and I Do not have enough words to Thank the Father Of Our Nation Quaid-E-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah for making us Independent and gifting us this beautiful country. May his Soul Rest in peace and may he be proud of us Pakistanis and Pakistan ❤ #PakistanZindabad #SyedJibran

I am born in Pakistan and my identity is all about this country. Wherever I go and get recognition, it is because I am an ambassador of my homeland as I am associated with this soil.

Despite whatever the phases and circumstances I have seen this nation go through, I am everything today cause of this country. Be it respect, fame, money, stability, recognition; I have achieved everything from Pakistan and I love my country. And will keep loving it no matter what.

Mansha Pasha

For me, Patriotism means caring about your countrymen/women and doing your best to make Pakistan a better place by using your position and status to do good for the society, especially in the time of crisis.
