It all started with the very inspiring Yakeen Ka Safar!
Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir have given us 3 major hits on the reel and with every new story and character that they play, we have fallen deeper in love with them.
You might have heard of them as Dr. Zubiya and Dr. Asfandyar, these were the first characters that they played on HUM TV in Yakeen Ka Safar, that absolutely captivated the audience and with that #Sahad fans were made.
Yakeen Ka Safar
Based on the novel “Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar” written by Farhat Ishtiaq, the play charts the story of two individuals on completely different trajectories in life: Asfandyar and Zubiya, played beautifully by Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly.
“It’s not easy to travel the journey of faith [Yakeen Ka Safar] but there isn’t a more beautiful journey than this,” Farhat Ishtiaq.
Sajal Aly (Dr. Zubiya) and Ahad Raza Mir (Dr. Asfandyar) did a brilliant job at it along with doing complete justice to their characters and the story.
Sajal Aly shares with her fans how beautiful Yakeen Ka Safar was and we completely agree!
Moving on to undoubtedly the most anticipated TV serial of 2018:
Aangan
With a cast to die for and a writer-director duo that has delivered few of the best serials in the channel’s history, Aangan took us back to the 1940s and kept you engrossed in an era when United India was one, Pakistan was on the verge of being created and being a poet was a huge deal.
Sajal Aly (Chammi) and Ahad Raza Mir (Jameel) portrayed their characters to the utmost perfection.
“Going back by 65 years was exciting”, says Ahad Raza Mir on playing Jameel in Aangan.
Ahad Raza Mir took to his Instagram to caption a picture of him alongside Sajal and did so beautifully with a lyric from the spellbinding OST of Aangan, “Keh day ve sab aankhiyaan sachiyaan. Tum jaisi na taakiyaan aankhiyaan” and we think that’s adorable!
Aangan was indeed the period love story we had all been waiting for!
Ye Dil Mera
Ye Dil Mera, however, is beyond Ahad and Sajal’s iconic pair along with its puzzling plot. Wrapped in the thrill, suspense, and a possible murder mystery, Ye Dil Mera has deep messages regarding mental health and possessive parenting to ponder upon.
Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir have done justice to their characters and the audience is absolutely hooked!
“There is an educational note that such a critical matter should not be considered a taboo and should not be shunned away. Instead, it should be treated with the utmost care,” says Farhat Ishtiaq.
