These new Hum TV stories have turned savior for us in the lockdown!

Done binge-watching all of YouTube and Netflix? Craving for some hot and spicy mid-quarantine entertainment?

We are here to make your life easier by breaking down all the new, freshly-baked series launched by Hum TV this month.

Whether you’re looking for a feel-good story to comfort you or a hard-core romantic saga to escape the pandemic life a little, the list below features a bit of everything to help you get through social-distancing.

Happy watching and remember to wash your hands while at it!

For the love of Hania Aamir’s shenanigans: Dil Ruba

Wacky, witty and wonderful, Hania Amir is our media darling.  And now you can see a shade of her bona fide personality in ‘Dil Ruba’.

Like in real life, Hania as Sanam is the center of everyone’s devotion. With the wide array of men relentlessly chasing her and our flirtatious leading lady equally enjoying the limelight, Dil Ruba seems like a light-hearted story.

But don’t underestimate the bittersweet drama just yet. It has addressed an acute social matter that will be unveiled with its upcoming twists and turns. Sanam’s antics might make you wonder how more crazy she can get while luring so many boys at a time. However, there is a serious message embedded in the plot- one that should not be ignored.

Here’s what Jibran Syed had to say about the worthy implication Dil Ruba is all about:

The overall message is to not play around with relationships because sometimes people feel that casual flirting and playing around with someone’s feelings is ‘okay’ but from another person’s point of view, it is NOT okay!

With just two episodes released so far, it is still not too late to catch up on Dil Ruba. We bet you won’t regret it.

For an honest to goodness cop saga: Tarap

After Ranjha Ranja Kardi, Jibran Syed is back with a bang as the hot-headed police officer in Tarap.

If truth be told, Tarap might the most underrated launch of the season. But like Babar Javed’s every production, the plot will highlight a worthy social issue that is bound to grab the attention of the viewers soon enough.

With some new faces, Jibran Syed’s impulsive character and the Lollywood veteran, Babar Ali making a comeback in the drama, Tarap appears as an intense and formidable, high-octane story. Its melancholic OST gives us enough hint of how troublesome its narrative will be.

But who doesn’t love a good, dark plot that will keep you on the edge of your seats? Tarap surely won’t disappoint you.

For women empowerment, romance and of course, Usman Mukhtar: Sabaat

Fasten your seat belts for Sabaat is going to be a bumpy ride!

Its first two episodes alone have been so powerful that we are excited with what the story has in store for us throughout the upcoming journey. We are in awe of Anaya’s sheer commitment towards women empowerment. In contrast to her character is the haughty Miraal who is snobbish and an elitist. Her brother Hassan is every bit arrogant as her. However, there is room for change in his persona and that’s what we will see happening in Sabaat.

From the looks of its promos and OST, Shehzad Kashmiri’s project looks elegantly and ingeniously crafted—from beginning to the end. It is one drama that is bound to make waves this season!

Talking about Sabaat, Mawra Hocane revealed to Spotlight:

Sabaat will have many lessons for the audience that are very intricately placed in the script. While the audience will have their learning, it won’t make the drama any less entertaining Inshaa Allah.

For a spooky cum mystery saga: Kashf

We already have been startled after watching the teasers of Kashf and the drama will deal with the matter of ‘dream anxiety disorder’.

The leading character ‘Kashf’ witnesses her nightmarish dreams turn into reality. So much so, she tries to harm herself to relieve her mind from the ‘curse’. However, her family is eager to cash upon her ability and forces her to turn into a ‘miracle performer’ of a sort.

No project before has yet touched this topic the way director Danish Nawaz has in Kashf. But what will be the fate of our protagonist? Eventually, it will determine how people suffering from such a disorder should deal with it.

The drama is starting this Tuesday at 8 PM and it will be nothing like you have ever seen before.

Will the viewers welcome the drama? Here’s what Junaid Khan has to say:

There is an interesting topic that will be discussed in the drama and it is also a bit controversial. We are also very anxious in regards to the reaction of the audience upon its release. However, it is a common issue that is prevalent in our masses that we have addressed.
