Sonya Hussayn and Zahid Ahmed are one incredible power couple!
We saw their crackling partnership in Ishq Zahe Naseeb (IZN) and the duo truly brought out the best in each other as Sameer and Gauhar.
The pair is back with a heavy bang, yet again on Hum TV, in its upcoming drama “Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida”. But life is, of course, not going to be all hunky-dory for them! And this time, joining them in their topsy turvy ride on-screen is Mansha Pasha.
Written-directed by Barkat Sidiki, the drama has created quite a stir on social media with its early promos. Let’s analyze the teasers and check out what Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida might have in store for us.
A not so picture-perfect couple!
From the looks of the vibrant promos, the plot revolves around a charming couple from a middle-class background that is crazy in love. Like every married pair, they have wholesome desires to make their life just perfect and comfortable for each other.
Zahid has a doting, down-to-earth look while Sonya looks uber filmy in her avatar. However, one of them will go too far with their aspirations for money and luxuries. Any guesses who will that be?
We had a candid chat with the hero of the drama, the heartthrob of the moment- Zahid Ahmed, and probed him more about the story.
Here’s what he revealed about the tale!
“Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida is a story for the masses, about the masses. It is a tale of a lower-middle-class home and a couple, Ulfat and Shahan Khan. They are madly in love with each other and are happy in their circumstances due to the deep affection between them”, says Zahid Ahmed.
He further added;
“Shahan Khan is a hardworking, fun-loving, and a simple person. I have done very few roles like this. Usually, my characters have an edge. Nevertheless, in this drama, my character is pure and it is the story that is twisted. However, one of us has a love for money and the greed for money can destroy anyone. Consequently, this relationship will face the test of time.”
The teasers also give us a glimpse of Mansha Pasha and we must admit, she is turning heads in the promos. Appearing stylish, sassy, and an ultimate boss woman, we are loving her chic look and excited to see her back on HUM TV after a long time.
So what is Mansha’s role in the drama? Is she going to play the character of the ‘other woman’? We got in touch with the starlet and dished her about her mysterious part.
Mansha Pasha stated:
“My role in the drama is of a professional woman, who has returned from abroad. But she is battling with her demons, issues and is carrying emotional baggage throughout the story. She is a broken person and is trying to find shortcuts to put herself back together.”
She also added;
“She is a good soul but shattered and ends up taking the wrong decisions. In my perspective, I understand my character as a person who has gone through a lot but has not been able to deal with what life has given her. She has a lot of personal trauma and is trying to deal with it. However, it is not always possible for her.”
An exciting love triangle for the masses
We have already gathered that the story will be a love triangle. But what is the catch to Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida?
Of course, it has that perfect, classy cast that we always crave to see on the screen. And apparently, it is a simple story highlighting the sweetness of small things and the pursuit of happiness that will appeal to the masses.
We asked Zahid and Mansha what to expect from the drama. Here’s what they had to say!
Zahid Ahmed expressed;
“Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida is a spicy, masala story based on the simple desires of life. It will highlight that people belonging to such social class always find happiness in any circumstances and small things. This story is of an adorable couple vying to look for contentment in life. I am sure the masses will enjoy it. I, Sonya, and Mansha have a lot of screen time. It is a very simple story with no complications.”
Mansha Pasha states:
“The drama is not a very complicated story. It a traditional tale with a love triangle. Individual characters will be very interesting for the audience.”
We are looking forward to its OST and more glimpses from the drama! One thing is for sure, we will watch this drama for Zahid Ahmed and Sonya Hussayn. They surely had set a bar in Ishq Zahe Naseeb and let’s see if they take it to the next level in Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida.
