Celebrities protest and demand a safe homeland for all the women!

Pakistani celebrities staged a protest yesterday outside the Karachi Press Club against the motorway gang rape incident. 

Famed celebrities including Mahira Khan, Bushra Ansari, Mansha Pasha, Adnan Siddiqui, Ejaz Aslam, Sarwat Gilani, Sarah Khan, Ali Rehman Khan, Ayesha Omar and many others raised voice against the safety of women in this country.

Mahira Khan demanded a secure nation for all women..

At home, on the streets, at work, alone, not alone, with kids, without kids, in a skirt or in a burkha. Where ever she may be, whoever she may be – we demand basic rights of safety, says Mahira Khan.

My sister just arrived from UK. This is the first time we left home together. To join a protest and to speak about the state of women's safety in Pakistan and the fact that there is none. We arent safe on the street, at work or even in our homes. Rape happens because of 1. RAPIST 2. FAILURE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES We need laws that protect us because the situation of women and children's safety in Pakistan is dire. Its needs to be addressed NOW!
