HUM TV has rolled out the promos of the upcoming drama ‘Raqeeb Se’ and we could not be more excited after viewing them.
After all, the crème de la crème of actors is part of the project’s cast, featuring veterans Sania Saeed and Noman Ijaz, the firecracker Iqra Aziz, the sultry Faryal Mehmood, and of course, the evergreen singing sensation Hadiqa Kiyani will be making her debut with the drama.
But even more exciting is Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar’s reunion that is bound to deliver us yet another masterful story and create ripples in the drama industry.

Noman Ijaz is back in his strongest form
Noman Ijaz is a quintessential good man if he wants to be. And here, he plays his character to perfection. He is the husband to Sania Saeed’s character and also to that of Hadiqa, making him the father to Iqra Aziz and a sort of referee in the household of women.
Be it standing in front of Saqib Sameer or threatening Iqra Aziz, everything he does looks manly in the promos. He has always wowed us with all of his avatars in the past and we are sure that he is yet again going to make waves with his tough and unique role in Raqeeb Se.

It is always magical when Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar unite
The last time Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar worked in a play, it was in ‘Dar Si Jati Hai Sila’ which bagged massive accolades and various Pakistani entertainment awards. It was one of the best dramas of the year and featured Noman Ijaz and the young Yumna Zaidi.
However, in Raqeeb Se, Yumna has been replaced by Iqra Aziz in the cast, and from the looks of the promos, the starlet has done a terrific job. In Dar Si Jati Hai Sila, Noman essayed the role of an antagonist. Meanwhile, in this latest project, he is playing the role of the head of the family, of whom everyone is scared.
Bee Gul usually writes thought-provoking stories and takes two to three years to complete her scripts. With Kashif Nisar, she shares excellent chemistry that is visible in the teasers of the play. The director has been on a spree, winning the Lux Style Awards for Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. Now the audience Is waiting for Raqeeb Se and how it will fare once it hits the screens.

Hadiqa Kiani debut that took place twenty years too late
Ever since her singing debut in the 1980s, Hadiqa Kiyani has been carrying the torch in the music industry as the sole pop-star. At even the age of 47, she looks forever young and not above the age of 25. While she has acted and danced in various of her music videos, she has never said yes to acting!
When it was announced that she has been cast in Kashif Nisar’s Raqeeb Se, many people were interested in knowing what could be so convincing about the role that compelled her to make her acting debut. Now we know why she agreed to sign for such an important role. The singer will portray the role of Iqra Aziz’s mother. Their mother-daughter chemistry is surely visible as are their fights in the promos.
We’ve all known that Hadiqa has had acting skills in her blood. But who knew that she would pull off such an impactful role with aplomb, that too in her very first TV drama.

Whenever Iqra Aziz has signed up for a drama on Hum TV, she has created magic. The reaction has been the same when she has worked on other channels. However, she has received all her awards for Hum TV dramas and we can see that Raqeeb Se will also bag her nominations in the upcoming awards season. She plays a fiery girl who neither listens to her mother or father, nor cares about what others have to say.
That’s one of the reasons that make her stand out amongst all the actors of her age.
And then there is Sania Saeed!
The last time Noman Ijaz and Sania Saeed worked together was in Sange Mar Mar and we all know that the drama was a spectacular hit. In Raqeeb Se, they again play husband and wife but how the entrance of Hadiqa Kiyani’s character transforms their life is what makes the drama interesting. Sania Saeed is amongst the few actresses who can essay any role with ease. Be it be a good mother or a toxic one, a helpless mom or careless parent; we have yet to see which motherly side of Sania we will be seeing here.
